Siemiński's works – fully dedicated to horses – have been compared to those by Brandt, the Kossaks or Michałowski several times. No wonder it is so, for
his exellent drawing, the harmony of composition, sophisficated colouring and his incredible knowledge of the matter (being a result of thausands of hours spent on observation and sketching horses in differnt studs) contribute to this.

The horse in Siemiński's works is the artistic object all the audience's attention is concentrated on. It is the horse that becomes the central point of the painting. The horse – an ideal work of nature; dynamic, emanating with strength and the kind of primal beauty which awakens the atavistic longing for unspoilt nature, vast open spaces, the freedom of a nomad. A rider, a driver or a polo player serve only as a minor element of each composition. The dynamic attitude towards horses can be seen even in static in their nature equestian portraits, as it is not some horse's apperance that matters but the horses personality, it's individual character and temper which make it one of of a kind? Thanks to Siemiński the contemprorary art audience not only know how a horse is build but also how it works.
